Very enjoyable dinner. Very good food with a nice atmosphere and friendly, efficient service. We had Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh. Both were excellent. Naan bread was great too. Recommended!

The was delicious, we had mixed veg plater and Puti puri appetisers. Smoked Himachal Chicken curry was great. If you like Indian food we recommend you try this restaurant. We have put it as one of our top favourites.

There is very few Indian eateries option in Kal and Ruby’s Rasoi has everything we need for Indian cuisine. I tried prawn vindaloo $28, Butter Nan $5, vegetable samosa $12 and Kashmiri rice $7. All the dishes we ordered $52 can share between two people. Restaurant has soft lighting, peaceful music and it has soothing ambience.

The ladie at the front desk is amazine. She always smiles and the service is perfect. I truly recommande this restaurant the food is amazine too.

We had one night on our way through town and are so glad we made this our dinner stop. The food was second to none and easily the best Indian food we’ve eaten. The service was perfect, all the staff were lovely and attentive.

Upon the recommendation from restaurant staff, I had the Smoked Himachal Chicken Curry (Pahari Murg) which was a superb dish, very delicious and a generous portion size. You do have to wait as the main dishes were cooked fresh, but I feel that it was worth my while as the food served was of great quality and at a reasonable price.

We loved our food, friendly service always. Child friendly good variety of menu for adults and kids. Love dining in with our family and wonderful relaxing atmosphere. We will be back again!!!!

It’s absolutely amazing!! The food the atmosphere is just great. One suggestion, please open a similar restaurant in Perth. No one can beat the taste. I have tested many Indian restaurants in Perth, and nothing comes close to this.

This might be one of the most amazing dining experience for Indian food in Kalgoorlie. The dinning experience is awesome and the food is delicious. Their Aloo Tikki Chat is mouthwatering. Do not miss this.

Formally Ruby Rasoi, my regular restaurant visit when I am fortunate enough to be in town, I was initially concerned that the change of name and decor was a change of management and chef, but NO! The curry and inspired other dishes, sides and salad are still delicious, better than I remember. The floor staff service is unfussy but personal and familiar, and it is very fairly priced. Eat here if you are a fan of Indian cuisine. Thank you.

Gosh… I love this place over & over again. Such great food. Enough portions, normal priced for Indian, but to be the only one in town and honestly one of the best. When I’m in Perth I crave Ruby’s. Only place I know that has Pani Puri (amazing to try btw) and the best Garlic Cheese Naan as well as Chicken Tikka Masala. I’ve had take away and Dine in, the staff are so lovely and always ensure you are enjoying your food. Only thing is sometimes a little more curry than chicken but still amazing. One pic is take away Pani Puri and the Second is Take away dinner, Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Cheese Naan with Mint sauce and Papadums.

Food - amazing 👏 the flavours the smells the naan even the sauces that came with it were so good. We ordered the Lamb Shawarma - amazing will be getting this again 100%....!! and also, Goat Curry - Again, it was so full of flavour and just the right amount of spice. Service was so friendly and very quick. Kids had the butter chicken with rice and chips/fries. So sad we didn't get photos but that was the effect of the food to good not to eat lol.

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times over the last few years and it has always been something that I look forward to. On my last visit I tried a few dishes that I have not had not tried before and was blown away by the amazing flavours. These dishes were the lamb shawarma, onion bhaji and Kashmiri nan bread. I am certainly looking forward to my next visit.

Absolutely amazing experience at Golden Spoon Indian Cuisine! The service was top-notch, and the food was incredibly delicious. We started with the onion bhajis and pani puri, both of which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also had the best dal I’ve ever tasted so comforting and flavourful! They’re very accommodating when it comes to vegan options, which I really appreciate. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic, flavourful Indian food!

We ordered takeaway meals of butter chicken and lamb rogan Josh. 90% of the meal was sauce... very LITTLE chicken and lamb. Dissapointed as very expensive to order. It did taste very nice, but for value for money it's not worth it for a family meal.

We have dined in at least five times and never been disappointed with our meal. The best restaurant in Kalgoorlie and one of my favourite Indian restaurants of all time. The onion bahji, butter chicken, and smoked himichal chicken are our go-to choices but we have ordered nearly everything on the menu and it has all been delicious!

Recently changed name from Ruby's and are no longer BYO. This isn't clear anywhere on their website and we were told by the new, much less friendly staff that it's not BYO after we rocked up with our wine. None of their wine is worth the $60 they're asking for it and they ran out of house wine while we're were there. The food isn't the same, and has not improved. Dishes which were gluten free are not anymore, or they messed up in the kitchen. Anyway, unfriendly service, expensive wine, and mediocre food that poisoned my coeliac partner means we'll be finding somewhere else to go. Avoid The Golden Spoon!

This restaurant was a real find in Kalgoorlie! We often eat at Indian restaurants and have sampled a good cross section around Australia. This is exceptionally good with presentation, flavour and service all faultless. The taste of this modern Indian cuisine blew us away and all at a very reasonable price.

It's a wonderful place to hop in and have some delicious food. The staff are so good and serves the yummiest food for tummies. My kids love coming here.

The young boy is such a good worker, should give him a raise he is the best service I've had.

Food was good but not great. I had takeaway so no comment on atmosphere but it seemed ok when I picked the food up. Disappointingly, one item was missing from our order, despite having been charged for it. Some dishes are not suitable for takeaway so they should consider moving these from their "takeaway" menu. Friendly staff.

The service is next to none- I felt as if my order was very important and had everything addressed. The restaurant has been re-decorated and looks very modern and refreshing! Only constructive feedback would be to increase the ratio of meat to sauce in the takeaway servings as there's a lot of sauce which takes away from the quality of the meal. Highly recommend the mango lassi!!

The flavors of the authentic Indian cuisine were outstanding, matched only by the superb level of service.

We walked in, they pointed to a table. Didn't even say hi. Came and asked what water we would like and saw no one else for 15 mins. No water no waiter. There were many other tables waiting too. Horrible service and will never go back.

We really enjoyed 2 vegetarian options, a a paneer dish and a kofta dish. Both were tasty with the kofta in particular being especially good. Portions were generous and pricing fair, and the service was friendly. It might be too noisy if the restaurant were completely full.

My wife and I walked in not expecting too much…but Wow!! We have traveled to India and eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants over the years. This is as good as we’ve had. The food was described as “modern Indian “ I don’t care what you want to describe it as. I would describe it as “fantastic “. The young lady who served us was a delight. Cannot rate it high enough.

While having a weekend road trip from Perth, we randomly walked passed and decided to drop in for dinner. Whole family agreed that the Butter Chicken was quite easily the best we had ever had. Beautiful and rich with just the right amount of spice. Wife had the Goat Curry which also was extremely good. Enough food and drinks for 3 adults for under $100.

We ordered various different dishes and everybody thought that their chosen main was delicious. The lady who served us was very friendly and polite. There was a relaxed atmosphere when we went in the evening at about 7-8.20 - overall a lovely meal out.

With the spacious, colorful interior, the place offers quality Indian food. Smiling staff are always welcoming and caring. I enjoyed their delicious food several times. They have vegan, vegetarian, and halal options too. Every item comes with a large portion size completing well for the above average price. The taste of their mango lassi is unforgettable. Highly recommend to visitors to Kalgoorlie.

What an amazing dining experience. We ordered Pani Puri for starters and what a flavour explosion! For mains we ordered Butter Chicken and Palak Paneer with saffron rice and garlic naan. The rice was light and fluffy and both the Butter Chicken and Palak Paneer were full of flavour. The Naan was soft and chewy with a thin crispy crust. We rounded our meal off with a Pista Kulfi rich in delicate cardoman and pistachio flavours. This was one of the best Indian meals I have ever eaten and the lady who hosted us was very welcoming and efficient. All in all a 10/10 experience.

We sincerely feel that their food tastes better than most indian restaurants we ve been to around Perth. This place is clean, spacious with good table service. Come early for dinner as they close early.

"They've named it Biryani, but it's just a sham. Please, get some cooking training; don't rip off people with such expensive and tasteless food. Being in a small town doesn't mean you can serve them anything. Watch some youtube videos how to cook Biryani. Selling it for 23 dollars without any shame. Ridiculous

Come for the food for it is amazing! After two decades in London, which does a pretty decent Indian, this restaurant offers a flavour range that will transport you straight to the Indian subcontinent. Yes, the restaurant is pretty basic as far as atmosphere, and the service a bit slow although delivered with kindness, the food ranks high up there with my best experiences from the past. Good price for the big portions as well. I enjoyed onion bhaji and mild chicken korma with plain rice and naan.

We had the most amazing meal at Ruby Rasoi last Sunday night. It was so good that we went back again tonight for another taste. The chicken Mo Mos were so tasty and the sauce was a perfect blend of spices. The Rogan Josh and Allo Gobi was to die for and tonight the smoked chicken curry was exceptional. The presentation of this dish with the smoke glass dome was fantastic. The service staff were very friendly and did a great job. Thank you. If we’re ever back visiting Kalgoorlie, we’ll definitely be back.

I was dining alone so didn't get to try much of the menu. However what I had (a goat Madras curry, naan, rice & pickles) was excellent. Serving sizes were ample and the service wAs very good. They have a really nice Riesling too.

Smoked chicken was beautiful, Aloo Gobi was also very good. Over ordered but they allowed us to take it all home. Partner reckons best Naan bread he's ever had.

This is a fantastic Indian Restaurant beautifully laid out and the food is magnificent along with the service. There is a lot of customers that dine here of an Indian culture which I think speaks for itself. It has BYO and in house liquor license which is great.

For what it is (a casual, family run Indian restaurant) Ruby’s ticks all the boxes. The menu is fairly extensive with all the favourites of the casual skippy, along with some more authentic dishes. Service is polite and prompt. Centrally located. This is a good stop for a visitor (as I was). The interior is a little gaudy, but I can get past that for good food.

The food here is absolutely DEVINE!!!! I got the chicken tikka masala and the world stopped spinning after my first bite. I also got the saffron rice, mixed fresh salad & garlic naan. So fresh and so beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed dining at Ruby's Rasoi: attentive, helpful staff, a relaxed atmosphere, absolutely delicious food, generous serves and beautifully presented. We ordered vegetarian samosa, the rich flavour of the samosas was delicately balanced by the 2 contrasting sauces served with this dish. My friend very much enjoyed his lamb vindaloo. The garlic naan was soft and crispy! I ordered a cauliflower/potato curry and a joghurt raita, both magnificent and again contrasting and complimentary flavours. We cleaned our palette with kulfi, pistachio cardomon icecream, very flavoursome and not too sweet. If you live to eat gorgeous food or if you're vegetarian or vegan, this is the restaurant for you. For me, it was, by far, the best restaurant in Kalgoorlie.

You can't give the customer the menu, and then when you go to pay, add a dollar to most of the menu items without telling them. Staff are polite, but its the small things like $5 each corkage (the most I have paid anywhere to drink my own wine as they want $30 for their cheapest house red). I ordered mild butter chicken, which was more spicy than anything else. Give the pickles a miss $3 for some chopped up carrots and stuff I couldn't recognise. I won't be going again.

A very enjoyable Indian meal on our last holiday night in Kalgoorlie. The hosts were very friendly and efficient, the meals arriving at the table very quickly. The dishes smelt fragrant, looked fresh and colourful while tasting divine. The menu offered some contemporary twists which were a new taste experience for us. Ruby's Rasoi is well worth a visit. We're glad we went.

This is the only place I’ve found to eat in Kalgoorlie that’s worth going to. These guys obviously love their food, and so do I. Wine list could do with a bit of work. Great place.

Very pleased to have discovered this restaurant on a recent mini break to Kalgoorlie. The service is excellent, the food flavoursome, and the portions generous. This is a rare find for those that are after authentic Indian cuisine, and I rate this at 5 stars as it hits the sweet spot covering value, service and great tasting food.

As visitors to Kalgoorlie this restaurant didn't disappoint our craving for good quality Indian food. Great service and clean, brightly decorated restaurant. The kids butter chicken meal on the menu was popular choice with the kids in our family group. Also a good range of vegetarian and meat options.

Avoid this place! We waited an hour and a half for delivery of our food. When it finally arrived the rice was missing and finding the chicken in our meals was a challenge! We rang the restaurant and couldn't speak to anyone and left a message. No one contacted us. All round a dreadful experience.

The service was really pleasing and satisfying which demands a full-on appreciation. The gol gappa and the chicken 65 was really crispy and took me to India. I loved the goat biriyani. Also, rasmalai and the kulfi deserts were mesmerizing.

When we first entered the restaurant, we came into a well let, openly spaced place which is well organized. The staff were appropriately attentive. Not in your face nor aloof. I ordered the Indian Garden Salad, and was pleasantly surprised at it's size. The portion sizes for the meals are good value for the price and the Strawberry Lassi (drink) that I had was really good, I ordered a 2nd one. Although this isn't the style I food I would ordinarily go to, it is what my husband likes and they were happy to cater for my palette . I will definitely go back again.

I have spent 5 years in Australia and I fall in love with Indian food. I've tried many restaurantes in Perth and Brisbane and it was surprising to find that in this small town in the middle of WA the best and most flavoured indian food I've ever tried. By the fact of its flavour it invite me to try every dish of its menu.

Amazing, authentic, freshly made Indian food. Never expected this experience in Kalgoorlie.. must dine here if you are thinking twice. Thanks to the warm owners/staff/chefs at Ruby's restaurant.

I was visiting Kalgoorlie for work and googled "best Indian food in Kalgoorlie". Absolutely delicious food. I got lamb korma (medium heat), saffron rice, garlic naan bread and they included a couple of papadams too. The food was piping hot and fresh, the korma was creamy, good amount of tender, good quality lamb, perfect "medium" heat. best Korma I've ever had. saffron rice was fluffy and flavorsome. garlic naan tasty, well seasoned but not too garlicky and the papadams just made me happy. Will order again when I'm next in Kalgoorlie, shame you aren't in Perth!!!

YUM! Highly recommend the food!!Speedy and friendly service with a lovely atmosphere! It's clear that the owners and chef take pride in their food and service. Loving the interesting fusions - paneer arancini is a match made in heaven!! Mango chicken, saffron rice and kashmiri naan to die for. Only sad thing is now we'll be craving Ruby's Rasoi when we're back home in Perth 🤣 Thanks for a great night out!!!

The first thing that grabs you is the appetite inducing and calming pink interior. The staff are warm and welcoming. They were nice enough to have a chat. Among their beer options they sell Kingfisher which is an Indian brewed beer. Nice and fruity went down well with my dinner. Being a vego I ordered the Garlic Naan, Saffron rice and Paneer Makani. I was served generous portions and fast. Being a wimp I asked for medium spicy. I probably what have liked the next level spiciness. For around 30 bucks I rolled out pretty satisfied.

Friendly, attentive service. Helpfull suggestions with menu options. Delicious variety of dishes with a range of spices and flavours. We’ll be back.

Last night we enjoyed the most divine meal at Ruby's. No offense....but it's Kalgoorlie and we were not sure what would be available. This restaurant is just the best. Fish Amritsari - brilliant. Goat Curry - brilliant. Jirra Rice made just for us. Service - brilliant. I cannot believe how lucky we were to walk in, straight from Kalgoorlie Cup, in the most freezing weather and be treated to such exceptional hospitality. Thank you. Thankyou.

This place was awesome!!! I wasn't sure what to do about Christmas dinner as most places were way to expensive for me and my boys and then a friend suggested Ruby's... I'm so very glad she did. Not only was the meal divine but the wait staff were very friendly and efficient and at normal prices on Christmas day who could ask for more!!! It made our Christmas... Thankyou Ruby's

Loved the decor and vibe of the location. Staff were super lovely and helpful as well. And, most importantly, the food was amazing! I wish I was a Kalgoorlie local and could come here more often.

I tried the lamb rogan josh, lemon rice and mango lassi. The dishes were huge and such great quality - I thoroughly enjoyed the feast! Mango lassi wasn’t too sweet either, which was a pleasant change from others I’ve tried elsewhere. Such polite and attentive service also. Highly recommend!

Ruby's Rasoi is literally the BEST food I've ever had!!! Soooo many amazing Vegetarian options! The food is SO delicious and all the staff are so attentive and friendly! I would honestly eat here every day if I could!

Excellent as always! Truly. I think this is the best Indian restaurant in Western Australia. If you are ever in Kalgoorlie go to Ruby's Rasoi! They cater to gluten free and everything I have ever tried here is delicious. The Malai Kofta - delicious. Dahl Taadka - superb. They may look like an unassuming local Indian restaurant, but the truth is that they are a hidden gem of the Goldfield's!

Didn’t realise I could find Indian restaurant in this small town that is also with such a great service. Food was amazing, serves were justified. Everything was delicious but if I have to choose one thing then I would say, “Chicken Tikka Masala’s” one of the best one I have ever had in Australia. Truly the best Indian meal i have had in Kalgoorlie. The lamb korma was melt in your mouth and not too hot just as i requested. The fruity rice deliciously subtle and lamb mince naan superb.

Really nice authentic Indian food with attentive service. Better than many in Perth. Generous serves. Wished we were big eaters as the tasting platter looked amazing.

We went here on a Friday night for dinner, not a bad place ,quite spacious but still gets very noisy ,you have to scream to talk to your partner over the dinner table..onion bhaji with tamarind sauce off the chart ,beef korma and pulau rice very nice .the Mrs had spicy prawn something and it was delicious, loved it . The naan bread was good too.. I went back the next night and got honey chilli chicken and naan takeaway that was actually better than my beef korma ..Great clean friendly place with pretty good food

From Victoria never had Indian like this before.. Absolutely delicious! Ordered over the phone and had to wait 30 mins , but we knew it was made fresh worth the wait! Will definitely be a returning customer 😄🙌🏽

We rolled into Kalgoorlie on Christmas day thinking we'd be stuck with McDonald's or KFC. But the lights were on at Ruby's Rasoi and we snagged a table. Lovely meal of poppadoms, lamb sheekh kebab, chicken kadai and bindi masala. The pistachio kulfi and apple crumble was a real treat. Absolutely recommend this place if you're hankering for a curry for a non traditional Christmas.

Four of us recently dined at Ruby’s Rasoi's Indian restaurant in Kalgoorlie. Two of the party weren’t big curry fans but they are now. Ruby’s menu was contemporary but it retained the old favourites like lamb saag, butter chicken and even aloo gobi (rarely offered in Australian Indian restaurants). We had Southern Traditional Chicken as an appetizer and one of the newly converted finished off the lot! The dishes we ate were cooked and spiced according to our request (ie mild). The meal we had at Ruby’s Rasoi was better than the best Indian food we’d had since we were in India.

The food was better tan we thought and it was so tasty and it was good customer service

We had a awsome meal here and can recommend the following. Panipuri, Onion Bhaji, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Rogan Josh, Paratha and Safron rice. 10 out of 10 thanks to Ram for the great service too.

First impressions were great, a well presented, modern Indian restaurant and well presented staff. Great to see a form of uniform, loved it. The young lady serving was professional and attentive, very good service. I had Onion Bhaji, Goat Curry (hot, and it was!), saffron rice and a plain naan. Everything was delicious and plentiful, I had enough for a lovely lunch the next day. Highly recommended and a popular choice.
