"There is very few Indian eateries option in Kal and Ruby’s Rasoi has everything we need for Indian cuisine. I tried prawn vindaloo $28, Butter Nan $5, vegetable samosa $12 and Kashmiri rice $7. All the dishes we ordered $52 can share between two people. Restaurant has soft lighting, peaceful music and it has soothing ambience."

"What an amazing dining experience. We ordered Pani Puri for starters and what a flavour explosion! For mains we ordered Butter Chicken and Palak Paneer with saffron rice and garlic naan. The rice was light and fluffy and both the Butter Chicken and Palak Paneer were full of flavour. The Naan was soft and chewy with a thin crispy crust. We rounded our meal off with a Pista Kulfi rich in delicate cardoman and pistachio flavours. This was one of the best Indian meals I have ever eaten and the lady who hosted us was very welcoming and efficient. All in all a 10/10 experience."

"Formally Ruby Rasoi, my regular restaurant visit when I am fortunate enough to be in town, I was initially concerned that the change of name and decor was a change of management and chef, but NO! The curry and inspired other dishes, sides and salad are still delicious, better than I remember. The floor staff service is unfussy but personal and familiar, and it is very fairly priced. Eat here if you are a fan of Indian cuisine. Thank you."

We ordered the Lamb Shawarma - amazing will be getting this again 100%....!! and also, Goat Curry - Again, it was so full of flavour and just the right amount of spice. "I have eaten at this restaurant a few times over the last few years and it has always been something that I look forward to. On my last visit I tried a few dishes that I have not had not tried before and was blown away by the amazing flavours. These dishes were the lamb shawarma, onion bhaji and Kashmiri nan bread. Disappointingly, one item was missing from our order, despite having been charged for it. Some dishes are not suitable for takeaway so they should consider moving these from their "takeaway" menu. "Gosh… I love this place over & over again. Such great food. Enough portions, normal priced for Indian, but to be the only one in town and honestly one of the best. When I’m in Perth I crave Ruby’s. Only place I know that has Pani Puri (amazing to try btw) and the best Garlic Cheese Naan as well as Chicken Tikka Masala. I’ve had take away and Dine in, the staff are so lovely and always ensure you are enjoying your food. Only thing is sometimes a little more curry than chicken but still amazing. One pic is take away Pani Puri and the Second is Take away dinner, Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Cheese Naan with Mint sauce and Papadums."

"We really enjoyed 2 vegetarian options, a a paneer dish and a kofta dish. Both were tasty with the kofta in particular being especially good. Portions were generous and pricing fair, and the service was friendly. It might be too noisy if the restaurant were completely full."

"My wife and I walked in not expecting too much…but Wow!! We have traveled to India and eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants over the years. This is as good as we’ve had. The food was described as “modern Indian “ I don’t care what you want to describe it as. I would describe it as “fantastic “. The young lady who served us was a delight. Cannot rate it high enough."

"Recently changed name from Ruby's and are no longer BYO. This isn't clear anywhere on their website and we were told by the new, much less friendly staff that it's not BYO after we rocked up with our wine. None of their wine is worth the $60 they're asking for it and they ran out of house wine while we're were there. The food isn't the same, and has not improved. Dishes which were gluten free are not anymore, or they messed up in the kitchen. Anyway, unfriendly service, expensive wine, and mediocre food that poisoned my coeliac partner means we'll be finding somewhere else to go. Avoid The Golden Spoon!"

"The service is next to none- I felt as if my order was very important and had everything addressed. The restaurant has been re-decorated and looks very modern and refreshing! Only constructive feedback would be to increase the ratio of meat to sauce in the takeaway servings as there's a lot of sauce which takes away from the quality of the meal. Highly recommend the mango lassi!!"

After two decades in London, which does a pretty decent Indian, this restaurant offers a flavour range that will transport you straight to the Indian subcontinent. Yes, the restaurant is pretty basic as far as atmosphere, and the service a bit slow although delivered with kindness, the food ranks high up there with my best experiences from the past. Good price for the big portions as well. I enjoyed onion bhaji and mild chicken korma with plain rice and naan."

"We had the most amazing meal at Ruby Rasoi last Sunday night. It was so good that we went back again tonight for another taste. The chicken Mo Mos were so tasty and the sauce was a perfect blend of spices. The Rogan Josh and Allo Gobi was to die for and tonight the smoked chicken curry was exceptional. The presentation of this dish with the smoke glass dome was fantastic. The service staff were very friendly and did a great job. Thank you. If we’re ever back visiting Kalgoorlie, we’ll definitely be back."

We ordered vegetarian samosa, the rich flavour of the samosas was delicately balanced by the 2 contrasting sauces served with this dish. My friend very much enjoyed his lamb vindaloo. The garlic naan was soft and crispy! I ordered a cauliflower/potato curry and a joghurt raita, both magnificent and again contrasting and complimentary flavours. We cleaned our palette with kulfi, pistachio cardomon icecream, very flavoursome and not too sweet. If you live to eat gorgeous food or if you're vegetarian or vegan, this is the restaurant for you. For me, it was, by far, the best restaurant in Kalgoorlie."

"You can't give the customer the menu, and then when you go to pay, add a dollar to most of the menu items without telling them. Staff are polite, but its the small things like $5 each corkage (the most I have paid anywhere to drink my own wine as they want $30 for their cheapest house red). I ordered mild butter chicken, which was more spicy than anything else. Give the pickles a miss $3 for some chopped up carrots and stuff I couldn't recognise. I won't be going again."

"When we first entered the restaurant, we came into a well let, openly spaced place which is well organized. The staff were appropriately attentive. Not in your face nor aloof. I ordered the Indian Garden Salad, and was pleasantly surprised at it's size. The portion sizes for the meals are good value for the price and the Strawberry Lassi (drink) that I had was really good, I ordered a 2nd one. Although this isn't the style I food I would ordinarily go to, it is what my husband likes and they were happy to cater for my palette . I will definitely go back again."

I got lamb korma (medium heat), saffron rice, garlic naan bread and they included a couple of papadams too. The food was piping hot and fresh, the korma was creamy, good amount of tender, good quality lamb, perfect "medium" heat. best Korma I've ever had. saffron rice was fluffy and flavorsome. garlic naan tasty, well seasoned but not too garlicky and the papadams just made me happy. Will order again when I'm next in Kalgoorlie, shame you aren't in Perth!!!"

They cater to gluten free and everything I have ever tried here is delicious. The Malai Kofta - delicious. Dahl Taadka - superb. They may look like an unassuming local Indian restaurant, but the truth is that they are a hidden gem of the Goldfield's!"

"Four of us recently dined at Ruby’s Rasoi's Indian restaurant in Kalgoorlie. Two of the party weren’t big curry fans but they are now. Ruby’s menu was contemporary but it retained the old favourites like lamb saag, butter chicken and even aloo gobi (rarely offered in Australian Indian restaurants). We had Southern Traditional Chicken as an appetizer and one of the newly converted finished off the lot! The dishes we ate were cooked and spiced according to our request (ie mild). The meal we had at Ruby’s Rasoi was better than the best Indian food we’d had since we were in India."
